Shruti Box
The Shruti Box is a hand-pumped reed instrument used to provide droning chords and notes in classical Indian music. It is often used as an accompaniment for the voice or a lead instrument, like the flute. The fixed, droning nature of the Shruti Box is perfect for tuning the voice or for exploring the notes in a given key scale.
The 13 different keys allow for different chords to be made in order to pair with different instruments. Simply approach it like a piano, the bottom keys are the white keys (whole notes) and the top keys are the black keys (sharp notes). The freedom this instrument gives you allows you to flow from Major to Minor sounds with ease. The more keys you have open the faster the exhale of the instrument.
C(3) - C#(3) - D(3) - D#(3) - E(3) - F(3) - F#(3) - G(3) - G#(3) - A(3) - A#(3) - B(3) - C(4)
The exterior is made of wood, with cloth bellows and reeds allowing the sound to be pumped through the chambers of the box. It is similar to the harmonium in its overall sound and uses.

Choosing Your Bowls & Sets
Understanding Pitch & Cents
Each bowl is marked with its note like C or F and a cents value — 0, or a +/− number such as +10 or −15. Cents measure how sharp or flat the bowl is relative to a perfect pitch. When building a set, matching cents closely is what makes the bowls sound harmonious together rather than disjointed.
Why Our Sets Are One-of-a-Kind
Every bowl varies in pitch, size, and alchemy, with only a limited number of each in existence — so no two sets we build are ever identical. Each one is hand-selected for sound, energetic quality, aesthetics, and stackability, and ready for one-on-one sessions, group healing, sound baths, or performance.
Not Sure Which Bowl or Set Is Right for You?
We’re happy to help you choose bowls that match in cents and complement your existing collection. Build Your Perfect Set →
